Focus and Scope

SAKUFU is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Japanese Literature Study Program, Institut Prima Bangsa Cirebon. While it is rooted in Japanese studies, the journal is not limited to this field. Instead, it welcomes a wide range of scholarly works in the areas of language, literature, and cultural studies from local, national, and international perspectives.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not restricted to:

• Japanese Studies in language, literature, and culture.

• Linguistics and Literature across diverse languages and traditions.

• Cultural Studies that examine both traditional and contemporary contexts.

• Comparative and Intercultural Studies, including translation and cross-cultural communication.

• Interdisciplinary Humanities Research exploring theoretical, historical, and applied dimensions of language, literature, and culture.

By embracing interdisciplinary scholarship, SAKUFU aims to foster dialogue and contribute to the development of knowledge across the humanities beyond the boundaries of Japanese studies.
